On Thursday, August 10, 2023, Members of the LCFD installed a new dry hydrant on Meeting House Lane across from the Ponderosa. The hydrant has been fitted with a tear drop style low-level strainer specifically designed for shallow streams where depth can fluctuate. We are waiting for one final bracket to be secured for this project to be completed, but the hydrant is functional and currently in service.
