On Tuesday July 25, 2023, the LCFD responded to the Commons in the area of the Post Office for a reported dumpster fire. Upon arrival crews observed a small dumpster approximately 4x8ft in size fully involved. The fire was quickly extinguished by fire dept personnel. Rags and cans of tung oil were found inside the dumpster and it is believed that they spontaneously ignited. No injuries were reported and no other property was damaged.
